Ascendion appoints four global advisers to guide enterprise AI strategy

AI-native software engineering company Ascendion has appointed four business and technology leaders to its AI Advisory Community, drawing on experience in banking, retail, machine learning and technology services to guide its growth and enterprise AI strategy.

The appointments come as businesses look to move AI beyond experimentation and into production environments, where governance, risk management and measurable returns are increasingly important.

The new advisers are Julieta Ross, former global CTO of Banco Santander; Andy Gamble, former group CIO of Currys plc; Joseph Sirosh, former corporate vice president and CTO of AI at Microsoft; and Jack Madrid, former president and CEO of the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).

Each will work with Ascendion’s regional or engineering leadership, bringing experience from organisations that have had to navigate large-scale technology transformation.

Ross will advise on executive relationships, go-to-market strategy and growth, with a particular focus on the governance, regulatory and risk requirements of financial services. Gamble will support Ascendion’s work across the UK and Europe, focusing on consumer goods, manufacturing and retail.

Sirosh will advise the company’s engineering leadership on the development of AAVA, Ascendion’s agentic AI platform, and its wider platform strategy. Madrid will focus on Asia-Pacific markets, including the implications of AI for global service delivery, skills and workforce models.

Moving AI into production

Ascendion said the appointments would bring practical, executive-level perspectives to its approach to enterprise AI, spanning product development, platform design, commercial models and workforce development.

“Enterprise leaders have moved past experiments. They want AI that delivers outcomes boards can measure and risk they can manage,” said Karthik Krishnamurthy, CEO of Ascendion.

The company said its advisory community would also contribute to its work on AI governance as enterprises seek to deploy AI at scale while managing operational and regulatory risks.

Ascendion serves more than 250 enterprise clients, combining software engineers, AI agents and its AAVA platform to develop and operate production-ready software.
