Ricoh, GVM signal potential APAC strategic partnership

Ricoh and multimedia delivery solutions provider Global Vision Multimedia Group (GVM) have launched “full-scale” discussions about a strategic partnership, including potential capital ties.

According to Ricoh, the partnership will help the company strengthen its workplace service capabilities in APAC, such as through enhanced meeting experiences and hybrid work solutions for enterprises worldwide. At the same time, the deal would allow GVM to build out its product offering for both multinational and local customers.

“We remain committed to continue strengthening our global workplace services capabilities in APAC, including audiovisual integration, to enable our customers navigate the complexities of transforming their workspaces and work styles,” said Ricoh Company Digital Services Business president Takahiro Irisa.

The move comes after the pair engaged in initial negotiations last month. During this time, the two companies explored collaboration opportunities based on Ricoh’s global footprint and workplace services capabilities, including audiovisual integration, and GVM’s centralised project management and AV integration knowledge in multiple APAC countries.

Ricoh and GVM: a developing partnership

The pair had also previously signed a memorandum of understanding in August 2025 to expand each company’s workplace services capabilities in APAC.

Ricoh Asia Pacific Managing Director Keiichiro Uesugi said the next phase reflects what customers across the region are asking for in practice.

“Across Asia-Pacific, our customers are looking for delivery that is both consistent across markets and grounded in local execution,” he said.

“Our experience working with GVM has shown that this combination is possible, and these discussions are about strengthening how we execute, so we can support customers to evolve, expand and succeed in their business, wherever they are based.”

GVM CEO Brian Ikhsan has described progressing the strategic partnership discussions as a “transformative milestone”.

“Since our founding in 2016, Global Vision Multimedia has been dedicated to delivering intelligent, artfully designed multimedia solutions that empower global enterprises,” he said.

“Moving into this next phase of full-scale discussions with Ricoh is a transformative milestone. We look forward to integrating our ‘intelligent aesthetics’ and regional expertise with Ricoh’s immense global scale to provide our multinational clients with unparalleled support.”
