Best of IFA 2026: Business laptops, monitors, phones, routers and innovations

IFA 2026 comes to a close today, and after trudging every square foot of every hall we believe we’ve picked out the best of show products. So, without further ado, here are our top pics…

Acer Vero 16

Acer has always led the way for environmentally friendly products, and with the Vero 16 it has extended its lead. Not only is this 16in laptop designed using recycled materials wherever possible, including 50% recycled aluminium for its chassis, but it’s also going to be easier to repair and even upgrade. Other laptop manufacturers should take heed.

Lenovo ThinkVision P27UL-40

We’re used to seeing 27in OLED monitors, but the ThinkVision P27UL-40 stands out for its outrageous punch-you-in-the-face colours. It uses inkjet printing technology to add the extra zing and give extra crispness to text. Users will also love the Thunderbolt 4 docking while IT admins will appreciate the fact that – like all Lenovo’s new ThinkVision monitors – it can be updated and managed remotely.

Plaud One

Earbuds offering transcription and translation are now nothing new, but we welcome Plaud’s wireless earbuds as they should sit neatly into Plaud’s Intelligence ecosystem – which includes Plaud Agents to turn those words into actions – and the fact that you can also record using the supplied case. Just press a button, and it will start recording. And if you’re on a web call, it can record that through the earphones too.

TCL P80 Ultra

TCL is no stranger to TechFinitive awards thanks to its innovative paper-like display, and now TCL has upped the ante with OLED panels rather than IPS. This gives even more vivid colours without losing the e-paper like look when you need to rest your eyes – and we also love the focus mode that removes nagging apps and social media.

TP-Link Archer 8 Ultra

TP-Link announced its first Wi-Fi 8 router in May, and at IFA it tripled down on its new range of Wi-Fi 8 devices – led by the Archer 8 Ultra, a triple-band router that delivers a theoretical 19Gbits/sec of aggregate wireless speed and 10Gbits/sec of wired connectivity. The 18 internal antennas should deliver plenty of coverage, but TP-Link also announced mesh solutions and its “Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine” to keep your data safe and moving.

Rokid Glasses

When it comes to smart glasses, sometimes it’s best to keep things simple. Which the Rokid Glasses are. They don’t try and shove a full-colour mini screen into your glasses as the technology isn’t there yet (at least, it isn’t done well). Instead, it provides a simple heads up display as green text to show, for example, chatbot conversations or directions. We suggest that the next iteration drops the built-in cameras, as these now feel intrusive.

XGIMI Aura X3

Want to keep your boardroom tidy but still pack a visual punch when the time comes? Then this neat solution might be ideal. The XGIMI Aura X3 platform consists of a stylish rectangular box out of which a projection screen unrolls when the time is right. An ultra-short-throw projector (the Aura X3 Pro (4,100 lumens) or Aura X3 Max (5,700 lumens) will then deliver swish and punchy results. And when you’re done, it all tucks away back into your decor.

ProtoArc ED200 Pro

We were taken not only by the design of this 71cm to 115cm stand-up desk but also its price, which is excellent when you consider that the main unit is deep, wide and made of a solid block of wood (many rivals are made of two less sturdy strips). Pick the right accompanying products and you’ll have a desk setup the envy of friends, colleagues and family.

CyboPal One

Does the world need monitors on robotic arms? Yes, yes it does. The CyboPal One is still in development, available as a Kickstarter, but the idea of a monitor you can summon closer when you need to focus or command to retreat to the back of the desk when you need space is extremely compelling – especially for people who may not be able to physically move it themselves. Or you can set it to follow your every move, which we admit is slightly odd.

AVAILABLE Via Kickstarter 23 September — PRICE $1,500

UPerfect UD19BU 

This is the one product we saw that made us want to whip out our credit card and buy it right there and then. It’s a 19in travel monitor that delivers a 4K resolution, and what’s more its colours are up there with desktop displays – although the OSD controls are fiddlier than we’d like, it’s true. Still, with an extremely competitive price and a peak brightness of 450cd/m2 we’re willing to overlook such minor issues.
