Cybersecurity firm Tanium has appointed Carol MacKinlay as its Chief People Officer, as the company secures a place in a top 50 cybersecurity technology provider list by Everest Group.
In her new role, MacKinlay will lead Tanium’s global people strategy, overseeing talent development, retention and employee experience. She brings more than 30 years of experience across technology companies, including from her most recent role as chief human resources officer at Pebl. She’s also held senior roles at companies including Binance.US, Plantronics and Xero.
“Carol brings deep expertise, proven leadership and a strong track record of building high-performing teams,” Tanium CEO Dan Streetman said.
“She joins Tanium at a moment of strong momentum, marked by multiple Best Places to Work recognitions and continued market leadership. Carol’s impact will be instrumental as we continue to expand our global presence, deliver for our customers and maintain Tanium as a great place to work for our team members.”
MacKinlay said her focus would be building an inclusive and high-performing workplace culture aligned with the company’s growth.

Separately, Tanium has been named in the Everest Group’s inaugural Cybersecurity Top 50 list, a global ranking of the largest and most influential cybersecurity technology providers.

The recognition comes as organisations increase investment in cybersecurity amid expanding digital infrastructure and evolving threats.
