Celonis and Oracle deepen partnership with promise to accelerate enterprise AI

“Two leaders. One goal: help enterprises modernize operations and industrialize Enterprise AI, driving real business value.” That was the message from Bill Detwiler, Sr Director Strategic Communications at Celonis, on announcing a deeper partnership between his company and Oracle on LinkedIn.

In particular, enterprises can now deploy the Celonis Process Intelligence platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. That means customers of both companies can fully roll out business processes across finance, the supply chain and “other core business functions”.

The key selling point here is to provide a secure and scalable platform for enterprises who are embracing AI. It’s their infrastructure. They need to trust it to be secure, reliable and scalable, which is Oracle’s role.

Celonis is there to provide what it calls an “intelligence layer” that gives AI agents the deep context they need to carry out complex tasks. And make no mistake, this is where enterprise AI is going, as we have seen from recent announcements from the likes of NetSuite and Salesforce.

Celonis laid out four main advantages for customers. In its own words:

  • Enhance AI-driven workflows by incorporating Celonis Process Intelligence into AI services running on OCI
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for automation and Enterprise AI adoption while tracking value realization over time
  • Orchestrate end-to-end processes across Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, third-party applications, and custom solutions running on OCI
  • Support modernization initiatives by using Celonis Process Intelligence for analyzing, benchmarking, and reducing risk when migrating from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP

Background to partnership

Bastian Nominacher, Celonis co-Founder and co-CEO, helped to set out context for the deeper collaboration between his company and Oracle.

โ€œAI agents are only as effective as the context they operate in – and Celonis Process Intelligence provides that foundation,โ€ he said. โ€œExpanding our collaboration with Oracle allows customers to scale AI with confidence, grounded in a real-time understanding of their business operations.โ€

โ€œOracle Cloud Infrastructure is designed to run demanding AI and enterprise workloads with high performance and reliability,โ€ said Chris Gandolfo, Executive Vice President, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AI. โ€œTogether with Celonis, we are helping customers gain deeper process insights and accelerate modernization initiatives on a secure, scalable cloud platform.โ€
