NetApp has appointed Kristine Wedum as the company’s new Vice President of US partner organisation.
Wedum joins the company with over 15 years’ experience as channel leader with experience driving partner-led growth and building high-performing teams. She joins NetApp from Pure Storage, where she most recently led partner sales for central US and Canada. She was also responsible for redesigning global deal registration programs, and earned top accolades, including numerous CRN Women of the Channel honours. Wedum has also previously held channel and sales leadership roles at Proofpoint, Tufin, and Brocade.
“I’m thrilled to join NetApp during this exciting transformation, redefining how customers approach data, cloud, and partnerships,” Wedum said.
“The opportunity to accelerate our momentum, shape channel engagement, and unlock untapped potential in our partner community is compelling. I’m eager to collaborate with the team and leadership to deliver success across all segments and empower partners to capitalize on AI-driven innovations and investments.”
In her new role at NetApp, Wedum will oversee the development and execution of NetApp’s channel strategies and partner ecosystem in the United States. According to the intelligent data infrastructure company, the strategic hire aligns with the company’s larger growth strategy that will be focused on strengthening its competitive edge as the “data infrastructure vendor of choice for AI workloads”.
NetApp north America sales senior vice president Riccardo Di Blasio said that Wedum will bring a proven track record of success to the company.
“Her extensive experience and customer-focused mindset, combined with a deep knowledge of the partner ecosystem, make her the ideal leader to drive our North America partner business forward and deliver exceptional value to customers in the era of AI” he said.
The vice president of US partner organisation role at NetApp was most recently held by David Sznewajs, who was in the position for just over three-and-a-half years. According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s now the vice president and general manager of NetApp Canada.
Wedum’s appointment comes as NetApp deepens its collaboration work with partners including Google Cloud, Red Hat, Equinix, and Cisco to further deliver enterprise-grade solutions to help customers with greater AI integration and modernisation efforts.
