Hammer Distribution, formerly known as Exertis Enterprise, will be an official distributor of Nexsan across Europe, the two companies announced today. This means Hammer resellers and customers have access to “enterprise-class storage designed for today’s most demanding data environments”, according to Hammer.
“Our partnership with Nexsan marks a significant step forward in expanding our enterprise storage and data management capabilities,” said Jason Daly, Hammer Distribution’s Commercial Manager.
He added: “Nexsan’s innovation and track record in secure, high-density storage perfectly align with our mission to deliver dependable, scalable, and cost-effective technologies that help customers meet the challenges of the modern data landscape.”
“AI and high-performance computing require storage that isn’t just fast, but inherently dependable and designed for sustained data growth,” said Vincent Phillips, CEO of Nexsan.
“Our partnership with Hammer ensures that customers across EMEA can access enterprise-class infrastructure built to retain, protect, and mobilize the massive datasets that power modern AI innovation.”
Nexsan, which was founded in 1999, earned its reputation through platforms such as E-Series, Unit and Assureon. Each of them promises high performance, energy efficiency and a phalanx of security features.
For example, the “Unity NV-Series delivers multi-protocol performance for GPU-driven compute environments, while the E-Series enables ultra-dense, energy-efficient scale at lower cost than traditional enterprise platforms”, according to Hammer.
This is all the more important in this era of AI workloads with the need for high bandwidth (say for research models) and “modern data lifecycle management”.
Nexsan says that its technology is “ideal for a variety of use cases including backup and recovery, content delivery and streaming, scientific lab data, virtualization, evidentiary data, digital video surveillance, regulatory compliance, and healthcare records”.
