3D printing specialist, Elegoo, recently attended the Formnext event, showcasing several new products and initiatives the company has released and will be working on in the coming months. We highlight a few of these below.
Elegoo at Formnext
Formnext is a global trade fair event focusing on the additive manufacturing (AM) and industrial 3D printing industry. The event is held annually and seeks to bring the AM community together so members can network, exchange ideas, form partnerships, and show off their latest innovations. Formnext is held in Frankfurt, Germany each year and hosts smaller expos and forums in other regions as well.
At the latest Formnext event, 3D printer company, Elegoo, discussed a number of its newest initiatives and exhibited some new products as well, including:
Elegoo Satellite
Scale Dress
Elegoo with Her
Saturn 4 Ultra 16k
Elegoo Satellite
The Elegoo Satellite is the smart manufacturing companyโs first foray into LCD slicing software. The launch of the software comes at the same time the company is releasing new hardware for its Elegoo Satellite consumer-grade LCD printers. The company sees the pairing of hardware and software as a big leap forward, anticipating the move will further cement its standing as one of the top innovators in the 3D printing space.
Speaking on the subject, Chris Hong, CEO of Elegoo, said: โMuch like a satellite orbits its planet, Elegoo SatelLite orbits our flagship products, including Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, and beyond, guiding users smoothly through their resin printing journey.โ

Elegoo announced another open-source project in conjunction with Dutch fashion designer Anouk Wipprecht, where the two parties collaborated to create a robotic โScale Dressโ manufactured using Elegoo 3D printers.ย ย
The unique dress uses a mechanical system consisting of small servo motors to facilitate movement in the dress and create a flow that makes the dress sway and swing.
Elegoo with Her
Also announced at Formnext, Elegoo recently launched its first women empowerment program, known as โElegoo with Herโ. The goal of the initiative is to get more women and girls involved in the 3D printing industry and create a more inclusive community.
Partnering with Anoul Wipprecht once more, plus companies such as Chitubox and Kexcelled, the group hopes to equip women with the skills and tools to succeed in the ever-growing field.ย
Coco Lee, Brand Director of Elegoo, said: “Through our extensive interactions with customers and partners, we’ve seen a growing number of women and girls entering 3D printing for personal hobbies, creative projects, or business, which is something that’s truly inspiring to us.โ
Lee continued: โWith our partners, we aim to sustain this momentum, showcase women leaders, and build a supportive community where women can find guidance from their role models. By combining the power of role models with our in-kind support, we can help more women and girls achieve their goals through 3D printing.โ
Elegoo also introduced the new intelligent 3D printer, the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k, at Formnext. This combines a futuristic design with great features too. Unlike machines that use fast resin or ACF-release films, the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k 3D printer relies on Tilt-Release-Technology to achieve high-speed printing. Its 16k screen prints XY resolutions of 15,120 x 6,230px and features automatic levelling, eliminating the need for relying on A4 paper to properly level prints.
The new 3D printer also has the following features and upgrades:
James Payne is a writer, editor and content strategist with more than 20 years of experience. In addition to writing about all things tech, in his free time James writes adult horror short stories and novels, as well as fantasy novels and fiction for young adults.
