It isn’t quite a supercomputer on your desk – as shown by the HPE Discovery, real supercomputers still fill a room – it will soon be possible for anyone to buy a mini AI workstation that lets you sample that power. Today, Acer is inviting UK businesses to register their interest in these โฌ3,999 devices.
We await exact UK prices and specs, but we do know the Acer Veriton GN100 will be based on the Nvidia GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, a scaled-down version of the GB200 GPUs found in the world’s fastest AI data centre servers.
Each chip includes 128GB of unified memory, and while the GPU handles AI tasks the GB10 also packs a 20-core Arm processor. You can specify up to 4TB of storage, but this mini PC won’t be running Windows: instead, it comes with an “Nvidia AI stack” that will allow you to do develop AI models on the PC and then roll them out to Nvidia hardware in data centres.

AI-focused workstation
It may be based on a scaled-down version of Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell hardware, but there is still an immense amount of AI power packed into each compact machine – it really is a mini PC and only weighs 1.2kg.
In particular, it delivers up to 1 PFLOPS of FP4 AI performance, and around 31 TFLOPS of FP32 performance. This makes it particularly well suited for local LLM prototyping and “edge” AI. That is, tackling AI tasks locally on the machine, which means that your data is kept private and it’s more likely to meet compliance demands.
The Nvidia AI stack supports PyTorch, Jupyter and Ollama, and if you connect two AI Veritons together (via Nvidia’s ConnectX SmartNIC) then it can handle models with up to 405 billion parameters.
While Acer isn’t unique in offering this power – Nvidia is selling its own DGX Spark for around $4,000 and Asus has also announced two mini PCs using the GB10 chip – it seems that it will be one of the first to market.
Acer is advising its UK channel and enterprise customers to contact their Acer account team or authorised partners, while we also know it will cost from $3,999 in the US.
