HPE’s President and CEO Antonio Neri is one of eight big names from HPE attending Mobile World Congress next week. Their aim: to showcase how HPE can help businesses innovate faster and modernise their network from “client to cloud”.
There are two key strands to HPEโs presence at MWC: meetings and demos.
The meetings are there to see how HPE can help your organisation modernise. Along with Antonio Neri, high-level executives include Executive Vice Presidents and Senior Vice Presidents across Aruba, service providers and telco solutions. For example, Phil Motramm, EVP & GM, Intelligent Edge (HPE Aruba Networking) is on the list.
Demos cover AI in a range of ways, along with solutions aimed specifically at telcos.
HPE AI demos at MWC 2025
A sign of the times, more than half (nine of 16) of HPE’s demos explicitly feature AI:
AI automation for telco core and RAN
Complete and scalable solutions for AI and HPC
AT at scale for service providers
Supercomputing for AI: HPE Cray EX400
NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE: HPE Private Cloud AI for Telco Ops
AI-RAN with HPE and NVIDIA
AI-powered wired and Wi-Fi networking
Sovereign AI
AI at the extreme edge
To give a taster of what you can expect, here’s what HPE has to say about “complete and scalable solutions for AI and HPC”:
The new HPE ProLiant Compute XD680 is optimized for demanding AI training, tuning and inferencing workloads with a purpose-built architecture designed by HPE. Powered by eight Intel Gaudi 3 accelerators, this server delivers choice and strong price performance to speed deployment of cost-effective, large AI clusters.

HPE wants to share how “industry leaders are using the latest network innovations to tackle their biggest business problems”. And then explain how you can apply those insights to your own networks and business objectives.
What might those discussions look like? HPE lists three potential discussion topics:
How to optimize your telco infrastructure from client to cloud: Automate your network and cut costs with AI-native routing, provisioning, and orchestration. Deploy AIOps and AI models faster for end-to-end optimization. Discover efficiencies and eliminate VM lock-in with advanced compute solutions.
How to accelerate your AI workloads: Modernize your data center to support compute-intensive Al workloads with security-first, Al- powered networking and turnkey private cloud solutions optimized for performance and scalability.
How to transform enterprise experiences: Combine wired, Wi-Fi, private 5G, and WAN management into a unified AI-powered platform to elevate user experiences. Expand B2B revenue by extending AI inference from the data center to client with connected edge compute.
We’ll be speaking to HPE at MWC 2025 to provide more detail. In the meantime, here are three more articles that might just pique your interest:
